Unfortunately you can't assign those to a macro.

hmm, yes i realized. Why is this?
I would like to assign secondary functions to the macro's. Any ideas how to achieve this? With a piece of software perhaps.

I'd like an answer to this as well, considering that I was able to set macros using the FN key (volume up and down) on my previous Alienware laptop, and I've just upgraded to an Area 51m and find it doesn't work now.
