Area-51m R1, memory upgrade recommendation

Hi All,

I have an alienware area 51m r1 system with 2x 8 GB RAM ( 2400 MHZ). Since last few weeks, I have been noticing that my system memory is reaching full capacity (80%), this is more noticable now post recent windows 11 updates. I dont know if this is some OS level issue, but irrespective of the root cause, I was already planning to upgrade the system memory.

What would be the recommended option here to upgrade the memory ? should I add another 2 x 8 GB modules or should I upgrade existing ones with 2 x 16 GB modules, or can I use existing 2 x 8 GB with 2 x 16 GB, would that impact performance ? is it possible to have 64 GB RAM in this particular model ? I know it would be an overkill, but would like to keep that as an option considering I work with software applications that are compute intensive.

In case I go ahead with it, which brands, products are recommended for this model ?

thanks for the response, my system is not covered in warranty. Tech support does not even accept any ticket for this system service tag. hence I plan to upgrade with a brand/model that other members have good experience with.

Crucial would be the front-runner since they guarantee compatibility.  Anyone else:  verify the return policy and any possible restocking fees before ordering.
