Area-51m R?, power supply usage
I have an Alienware Area-51m 17". My power adapters used are 240w and 180w. But the 180w gets hot. Is it okay if I used a 240w and 330w (or another 240w) instead of my 180w? Can it be any 330w adapter or it should be specified for Alienware Area-51m adapter?

Another 240w will work just fine.
A 330w will also work just fine but is more expensive.
As long as it is an Original Dell AC adapter and has the same SMART DC jack connecter.
The system communicates with the AC adapter threw the SMART pin in the center to control the amount of power sent to the system.
