Area-51m R1, doesn't open after power cut

I've just forgotten to add that I had also removed bios battery with normal battery and pressed start button to decharge static. I waited a few minutes and reassembled it then tried to start it but no response.

I've tried to run it only on AC adapters just now but doesn't work.

I've connected all the cables and accessories while reassembling. Battery, bios, m2 ssd, EDP, fans, backlights, cam, hdd and killer network. But unfortunately no that's not the problem in this case.

Do you know what does the button called sw3?

I think there is an issue with something you did while reassembling it. Did you insert the CPU and all the other connectors in the proper way. I also wanted to mention that after you did all the rechecking then unplug the battery from the motherboard and just plug in the ac adapter.

This problem is usually encountered when Windows Update is being installed over the internet (in the background), and the power failure did not allow the update installation to finalise. The laptop will switch on, POST, give splash screen, but fail to boot into the Windows operating system. 

Guess that there is no back-up clone of the OS(C:) boot drive to swap in. 

Please get into the Windows Recovery Environment menu. To do this, force shut down the laptop and then start it again. Once it starts, allow it to start to boot into Windows (the splash screen) and then force shut down by holding down the power button, until it shuts down. Do this 3 times, i.e. start > boot > shutdown, start > boot > shutdown. On the 3rd attempt, laptop should boot into the Windows Recovery Environment menu. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced > Start up Repair and follow the prompts. (Do not select Reset your PC, as this will erase all your data and reinstall Windows.)

The problem is not that Windows doesn't open. The laptop doesn't start. No light, no fan, no detectable response to anything.

It lays completely dead.

With the power adapter unplugged and the main battery disconnected from the system board, hold the power button for 30 seconds.  Then reconnect the adapter (no battery) and try powering up.  If the system will power up, then unplug it and reconnect the battery and try again.

If it won't power up at all after resetting it in this way, the mainboard is almost certainly damaged.

Hi @Am0rA31  thank you for sharing update. Dell P/N 1GHCG is not a simple switch. Unfortunately it is a Power Button on a Circuit Board with Cable. It is a low value item at about $25.00 & Includes 1 Year Warranty. It's is not worth the hassle of testing original.

Is there an alien head LED that should work when ac adapter is using one of the many power-adapter ports?

Having undertaken all the No Power checks, it seems that the power button assembly is not working.

No, there is no light working on the laptop. Only the adapter has one green and one blue light. @crimsom

I would like to buy a new power button and replace it but how can I be sure? Are there anyway to run this laptop without the power button?

Unfortunately it isn't easy to find in Europe. But before I buy it I will take contact with support service on telephone.

I changed motherboard. If you can just return your laptop. Even dell doesn't sell it anymore because they know it brings more problem than it helps you to produce.
