Area-51m R2, AWCC crashes on start-up
I have an Alienware Area-51m R2 laptop. This morning I ran SupportAssist which installed 7 software updates, including BIOS v1.36.0. Since then, I cannot get AWCC to start. It shows the Alien head on white background for a split second and then crashes. AWCC was not subject to an update.
What should I do, please?

Can you attempt to re-Install the operating system, BUT try and get it to restore to an earlier restore point.

This laptop is protected by Macrium Reflect so I can recover to an earlier date, but would it not make more sense to uninstall AWCC and then reinstall it before doing anything more drastic that could result in some loss of data?

Reinstalling AWCC made no difference, so I used Reflect to return the machine to its state 4 days ago and now all is working correctly again.
