Hi @DELL-Chris M thank you for posting the AWCC version 5.5.8.0 update alert.
I have Alienware 17 R5 (i7-8750H, GTX 1070, QHD) Laptop Review - NotebookCheck.net Reviews and Alienware Command Center Application Version 5.5.8.0, A00 is available for my 17 R5 laptop. However, both SupportAssist and Alienware update fail to say that AWCC v5.5.8.0 is available. Customised Support for my Alienware 17 R5 Drivers & Downloads say that AWCC v5.5.8.0 is available. The introduction says: It also detects your system configuration and accordingly downloads the components to install (never works). My 17 R5 configuration has per-key RGB lighting hardware, etc. but AlienFX 2.0 never loads and no LEDs work, permanently stuck in dark mode.
Windows 10 x64 Pro's Security finds installation Issue (again). This Issue has still not been fixed.
I click on install this driver software anyway, and I manually Restart after installation says it is complete.
AWCC version 5.5.8.0 appears with all four tabs: Home, Library, FX, Fusion. But then my 17 R5 LED lighting hardware configuration is not detected (again) and only provides two tabs: Library, Fusion. Report an Unresolved Issue form has been submitted. I have asked Dell Technical Support to provide update with option to install tabs Home and FX anyway, but still waiting. @Dell-BradL volunteered to investigate this persistent Issue, but Issue still not fixed.
