What OS is on the drive from which you're trying to flash?

Hi

I noticed that there is no A04 for the M11x, and the A05 BIOS is dated circa  AUGUST 2010.

The R2 and R3 versions of the M11x do have different BIOS names and numbers, so your service tag would be the best way to ensure an appropriate BIOS.

As I suspected you gave the wrong Model.

AND that R2 A04 is for W7 only, AND there is no A05 version.

The R3 model has W7 with  Phantom MLK A05 BIOS,  Alienware M11xR3 BIOS, A04

W8 for the R3 only has  Phantom MLK A05 BIOS.
No mention of W10.
So I fail to see how I can help.
I wish you luck.
BYE.

There is no A05 for the M11x R2 -- if you're trying to install A05, it's for the R1.  That's why it won't flash.

A04 is the latest BIOS for the M11x R2.

yes thanks i found that out i did a gooogle search it said  05 was for the r2 M11x  as you stated version 04 is the cuurent  ii dloaded  it from the  DELL  website  last week, DELL  said it was the 64 bit bios version, but when you try to run     it states error  only works with 32 bit ?? so i will load another  drive  up  with  a 32 bit version and try it again
