m15 R3, BIOS 1.5 update not installing

The Alienware Update has prompted to do a BIOS ver 1.5 update, I followed the instruction to install 3 times already without success, each time the install status bar stop in middle for hours without advancing, lastly have to cancel the installation.

I contact local Dell support which is linked to mainland China, their answer is no need to do update if there is no problem on the laptop. What a joke, this is a new laptop which I purchased just 3 days ago, I just don't have a benchmark to know if the laptop is performed at optimal stage. Anyway, is there another way or tips can bring to successful BIOS update?

By the way, is stopping/canceling the installation in middle of the installation will harm the laptop?

Also, is possible to change Tech Support to other regions e.g. Singapore,  Australia; the knowledge of the tech support agent in my area seem not much help to my questions.
