m15 R3, new, blinking 2 red 7 blue
So I just received a new m15 R3 alienware for Christmas. When I tried to start it the power button was blinking with a pattern of 2 red and 7 blue. After a few seconds cortana started to speak on how to get started but the screen was still black.
I tried to do a screen test by pressing “D” while turning on the laptop, but I only started to hear a beeping and the screen remained black.
Could anyone help me fix this?

2,7 is an LCD failure - with a brand new system, contact support to request a replacement system.

Dell Support for Alienware m15 R3, Service Manual says Diagnostic Lights Code 2,7 = Display Failure. For a new Dell system this is very disappointing. You need to take action without further delay to ensure your country's consumer rights and Dell's time limited Sales Agreement can be enforced.
