m15 R5, no thermal profiles AWCC is missing OC Tools
Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5
I did a clean install of Windows 11 and reinstalled AWCC (Alienware Command Center) etc. When I open it it keeps trying to install Alienware OC Tools or something, and it’s stuck in a Windows Hello loop telling me that an error occurred, and that I already own that.
I can’t locate it in Microsoft Store. My main concern is that I have no overclock or fan speed profiles. I only have Balanced for thermals, and I cannot create a new one, either. AWCC is totally missing what should be there.

Well, I got it straightened out. All the default profiles and temperature info is back. I had to uninstall AWCC with the AWCC Package Manager (the one that previously failed to install a working AWCC), and then restart, and reinstall using that same package manager. Before doing that I updated my BIOS, but I can't imagine that had anything to do with it.
This stuff definitely seems finicky in my history of using it, but I'd never seen this happen before. Thanks for the help anyway.

Hi @Justn077 welcome to this free user to user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
From your opening post description, it seems that the Dell AWCC application has not been fully installed. Support for Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 Drivers & Downloads includes Alienware Command Center Application version 5.5.14.0. Check that this is included in Control Panel, Programs and Features.
In Search, type 'add or remove programs', scroll down to click on Alienware Command Center > Advanced options > Reset and click on Repair. Restart (not Shut Down) to save changes.
If this does not fix the issue, please remove, Restart (not Shut Down) to save changes, and then install the Alienware Command Center Application version 5.5.14.0.

Advocate use Revo Uninstall Free to remove the Alienware Command Center Application version 5.5.14.0, and then its Advanced Scan to remove any multiple files, folders, and/or Registry entries left on the system. Restart (not Shut Down) to save changes.

I appreciate the tips, but they didn't get me a resolution yet. When I open Alienware Command Center it immediately goes into a Windows Hello loop looking for OC Tools and the error says it's 'already owned.' Clearly it isn't. Haha. It's getting frustrating because I really want to control my fans.
