m15 R5, not connecting to HP G5 docking station

Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5

Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5

Hello,

Basically I have the same issue as described in this post with the difference that the workaround simply does not work:

Hook up a the m15 R6 to a Dell docking station works with Dual Monitors. Connecting to a HP G5 docking station worked before, but does not work anymore (meaning it worked before).

What I tried:

- As mentioned in the article above, uninstall the latest NVidia Drivers and install the latest Dell NVidia Drivers (Failed)

- Using the newest NVidia Drivers (failed)

- Using the newest AMD Drivers (failed)

- Using Instructions from here these articles to enable DMA Protection (failed). Basically I cannot get DMA Protection to be enabled on m15 R6.

Besides the obvious design flaw of the USB-C Port, that one cannot charge the laptop through it. HP G5 docking station does not get recognized, to the point where I cannot even make a BIOS Update on the docking station.

So question into the round: Could this be a security feature from Microsoft itself instead of the Dell problem? It is just so annoying when plug-and-play hardware becomes plug-and-pray.

Hope someone can enlighten me? Thank you very much for any helpful suggestions.
