m15 R6, battery issues, power on, charging
I got my m15 R6 last October. I have power on issue days after I receive the unit. Now after 3 months another issue with the battery, it stays at 41% even after days of plugging it into a power outlet. Once I remove the power adapter, the unit losses power. It is more of a desktop now instead of a laptop. A very annoying problem for a brand new unit (for an Alienware unit). Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @nell0011 the first year Dell warranty covers the battery. Please create Battery Report and look at Battery Capacity History. Does the ac adapter's diagnostic LED remain on when inserted into the laptop's charging port.
Remove Base Cover to look at battery white label, note the year/month date beneath the square matrix, battery should be less than one year old. Check that electrical connection to motherboard is fully engaged. (Removing the base cover does not invalidate the Dell warranty.)
When satisfied that the battery cannot hold its charge, use your online Dell account to create a Service Request, include Battery Report as evidence, say it functions as a desktop, and ask for a new replacement battery. Allow Dell remote access if requested.
