m15 R6, BIOS update stuck at 0%

Hi macauf welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum. 

Never install BIOS version update just because a new BIOS version becomes available.

Check that you want new features or application requests installation of a BIOS version. 

Remove all external connections except ac adapter (charger). 

Always download new BIOS file onto your drive, never try to install new BIOS over the internet. 

To ensure the integrity of your download, please verify the checksum value.

Download MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility or similar utility. MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility | Raymond's WordPress. 

If download checksum is good, click on BIOS file and Run as administrator to install. 

The system will automatically Restart (not Shut Down). 

We can only hope that the CMOS chip is not already broken requiring a motherboard replacement.

Things to try =
* Connect the AC power adapter to the Laptop
* Disconnect all external peripherals (dock, external monitor, printer, drives) from the Laptop
