m15 R6, thermal pads thickness?
Hello,
I have been having issues with my m15 R6. I messed up the thermal pads on my laptop when trying to replace them. Can someone help me with the correct width of the thermal pads? You can look in the image how the thermal pads on the laptop looked. It’ll be a huge help. Cannot find anything on the internet that would help. The service manual too does not have anything regarding the thermal pads and their dimensions.

Hi moidm welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
The Alienware m15 R6 Service Manual does not contain thermal pad information because Dell warranty provides replacement of the complete Heat-sink assembly.
The discontinued forum.notebookreview.com was a good source for this type of information.
Now there are YouTube videos that try and fail to provide heat sink thermal pad information. Alienware M15R6 Changing Thermal Paste - YouTube. Look in the YouTube comments for other users trying to get thermal pad information.
PartsPeople provide Dell parts and could install the correct thermal pads under their $100 Dell Laptop Repair | Dell Repair | Laptop Repair | Notebook Service Center (parts-people.com).
