m15 R6, won’t turn on

Question

My M15 R6 fell asleep when I went downstairs to do something. When I came back it just wouldn’t turn on, no lights on keyboard nor on the power button. I tried hard resetting but didn’t work. Anyone who knows how to fix this please help me.

Performing a Hard Reset should have got the system working. Drain residual flea power (perform hard reset) | Dell US. There should be System-diagnostic lights | Dell US.

Does the ac adapter's diagnostic light work before and after connecting to the laptop? If the laptop is not being powered, the battery will not be charged and laptop will not turn on.

Laptop without battery is designed to function as Desktop on ac adapter power. Please disconnect battery and all external connections other than the ac adapter. Does the Laptop show any signs of life?

No lights turn on it’s just a black screen with the power button light off and the keyboard lights are off as well

Hi @Wsr02 thank you for sharing update.  Are you also saying that with battery disconnected, the laptop functions as desktop on ac power power?

I haven’t tried disconnecting the battery as of yet I’ll do it this morning and I’ll update you on it

The AC adapter is fine the light on it it’s working as usual
