m15, RTX 2060, reaching 100°C and over

Question

So I just got my brand new m15 in the mail yesterday after waiting 3-4 weeks, I got the 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD version with the Nebula Red 144Hz screen, and an RTX 2060. Looks amazing, but just playing basic games like Astronomer, and Guild Wars 2 on low/medium settings, World of Warcraft etc are instantly making my CPU go to 100°C and a little over, max I've seen is around 105°C. Is this normal? I've read somewhere to invest in a laptop cooling pad, new thermal paste, but spending almost 2k on a laptop to have to buy all these other accessories makes me feel a bit disappointing. What can I do?

Not normal, but yes it is a prevalent problem. However, the best solution that I have for my m15 is 2 simple things:

1- If you are a nerd, then download ThrottleStop from here , launch it, click on turn on, then check where it says disable turbo, then click on save, and then minimize the app, but never mess up with anything else. Do this any time you want to play games. After you finish gaming, go back to the app, uncheck disable turbo, click turn off and click on save.

2- If you are not a nerd and don't want to mess up with your beauty, then do this: First you're gonna wanna make sure you are on better performance in battery by left clicking on battery sign in taskbar then, you need to go to Settings > System > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Processor Power Management > Maximum Processor State > change %100 to %99 for both battery and plugged in. This reduced my CPU temp from 101 to 75 degrees max on all games with very little performance drop. Do this anytime before gaming and undo upon finishing gaming.

However, if none of these worked, then keep banging your head against the walls of Internet.

Yeah I should've found that link before I sent it in. Yesterday I talked with support and they told me to send it in for 'repairs' so I got the box this morning and sent it out. I don't have a computer for school now until the laptop comes back. Having to do and do homework from my phone.

I received the laptop last Wednesday on 4/3/19 and messaged support that it was overheating and throttling on that Thursday 4/4/19. They sent me a repair box to ship it to them and I received it Friday early morning. Already had my computer ready to be shipped, and took it to fedex and it’s still in delivery today 4/7/19 and will be delivered to the repair facility on Monday morning. And from there they said it takes 5-7 days. I’ll let you know what they end up fixing. For now I can only use my cell phone for classes and email until it comes back.

Just got notification that my laptop is being shipped back to me - says they replaced both fan assembly, the heat sink and the motherboard. I'll post the results when it is delivered tomorrow!

Just as an update, they are sending me an upgraded exchange unit! Currently I have GTX 1070 mq with 180w charger, but they are going to send me an m15 with RTX 2070 mq with 240w charger! Good so far!
