M15x R1, GPU upgrade to GTX 970m?

Based on these specs in my opinion, it is kind of pointless as the CPU itself is a bottleneck rather than the GPU you plan on upgrading it with, plus your RAM is old and is a bottleneck Aswell.

I'm planning to upgrade the CPU as well, further, but my really question is if i can install a 970m without problem or if i need an specific vBIOS to use it or if i need anything else (I know I need to modify the driver)

You're going to have to need a specific vBIOS to add a 970m, I highly recommend @mattyb3 for this as he knows his stuff.

@mattyb3  can you tell me please which vBIOS does my GTX 970m need to be installed in my M15x?

I have no idea. I would PM @mattyb3 or check out some people on notebook review forums remains since the original site got shut down.

I tried a number of vBIOS versions until I found one that gave me fan support on the 17 R1 and M18x R2. I'll just have to find it for you. 

EDIT: Here it is. This one worked for me but there's no guarantee it will work the same for you
