m16 R1, not detecting WiFi network
I have an Alienware m16r1 only a few months old, and it has stopped detecting any public networks like my institute Wi-Fi, i.e., it is showing in the available network after turning on the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is only detecting personal networks, like mobile hotspot.
The same network (Institute Wi-Fi) is getting connected to my phone and tablet. Currently, it is getting connected via Ethernet on the laptop.
I have tried updating all the drivers.

Hi @Kira108 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum. Is the Alienware m16 R1 (1/17/2023) Windows 11 Airplane mode feature being used? This gives user a way to disable one or all wireless devices — Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Global Positioning System (GPS), Near Field Communication (NFC), and cellular — quickly with one button when required, such as when you are boarding a plane or in a place that limits the use of wireless signals. How to enable or disable Airplane mode on Windows 11 | Windows Central.

@crimsom thank you for your response, no the airplane mode feature is not on. The laptop is detecting private Wi-Fi networks. And other features, like Bluetooth, is working fine.

Did you find a solution? My wife and I have the same sounding issue with our M17s. Thank you

@M_G_G I just fixed this problem on my M16.
-Go to Dell support website and search for your model.
-Download the correct wifi driver and install.
-Open network settings, reset drivers, and restart.
Once you reboot wifi should be available.
