m16 R1, optimize and antivirus software?
Hello everyone, just got my 1st alienware laptop m16 R1 and I love it. My question is what do people recommend to keep laptop running new? I'm looking for a utility program that cleans your computer and keep it new. Also wanted to install Norton AntiVirus, just for virus no security features. Anyone has issues with Norton? Or another virus program that runs smoothly?

Hi @Louie77 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
(1) The Dell SupportAssist application will keep the laptop running as if new. The OS(C:) boot drive should never be more than 50% full, so that when gaming or using other graphic intensive applications, there is plenty of room for temporary files to be quickly opened, used, and deleted. I have a 4TB ultrafast M.2 SSD NVMe OS(C:) boot drive and consider this to be a good investment when system performance has no delay.
(2) I have used Norton Antivirus & Anti-Malware software but it was very aggressive and difficult to remove.
(3) Malwarebytes is my preference.
