m17 R2, AWCC, FX won't show keyboard lights
This is my first alienware and I really didn't expect such a stupid bug in a laptop with such a price tag.
Basically I can customize the color of Alien Head or Tron or Power but there is no option for Macros aka Keyboard colors or even settings.
I already re-installed AWCC several times and updates BIOS and everything.

IslamKhayat,
Thank you for attempting these steps. Last resource would be performing a clean Windows re installation. You can easily follow these steps, however, we would suggest to perform a full back up prior proceeding with this:
How to Install Windows 10 - Alienware PC
Afterwards:
How to install drivers on your Alienware computer
Please make sure to install AWCC from the Dell website rather than from MS store.
Hope you can find this information helpful,
Kind regards,

IslamKhayat,
Thank you for reaching out to us and we're deeply sorry about any issues that you might have encountered with your Alienware M17 R2.
Despites this Bios updates efforts, would be possible to manually install this Bios version:
System BIOS
Afterwards, restart the unit and retest. If the problem persist, please proceed to perform a clean AWCC uninstallation by following up these steps:
How to Remove and Reinstall the Alienware Command Center
Your system came with Alienware mSeries keyboard with per-key RGB LED AlienFX lighting - English so you should be able to have this feature after following these steps.
Please let me know how it goes,
Kind regards,

Hi @DELL-Federico our new 17 R5 with Tobii eye tracking model Cassini 17 MLK arrived out of the box this year, with all of its Alien FX 2.0 lights in dark mode. There is no FX or Home tab in AWCC. There have been many attempts to get the pre-installed lights to work. We have just made another attempt, using the link you provided. The AWCC started with all four tabs, but then reverted back to its fault condition of only two tabs, and with all lights in dark mode. This is our first Dell laptop and our most expensive. We have requested that the install AWCC application be changed to include the option to install all AlienFX applications anyway. This user continues to wait. We presume that the 17 R5 keyboard will support Alien FX 2.0.

@DELL-Federico, on behalf of all the many Dell users that get the AWCC Warning - No supported AlienFX devices were detected.....
Please have a chat with Dell Technical Support to determine if they are working on fixing the Dell install AWCC application updates so that they detect all the preinstalled AlienFX devices. In the interim, please ask them to provide the dedicated install Alien FX applications update. Hopefully, all the Alien FX 2.0 software will then be installed and all the LED lights will then start to function.
Thank you.

crimsom,
What I can tell you is that Command Center Version 5.2.91.0 is the latest supported version for the Alienware 17 R5 and should support Alien FX 2.0, Alien Fusion, Game Library, Thermal Controls and OC Controls ( these last two would be available depending on the processor shipped with the unit), however I can't confirm if there are plans for future AWCC releases for this particular model though.
If you have an active warranty for this unit and you are having issues with the tron lights and this "No supported AlienFX devices were detected" error feel free to reach us out through private message in order to check the system specs and the ongoing warranty.

Hi @DELL-Federico the Support for Alienware 17 R5 Drivers and downloads says install the AWCC v5.2.97.0 <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell> update and this fails to install the Alien FX applications (again).
We live in the UK, purchased the new Alienware 17 R5 (i7-8750H, GTX 1070, QHD) Laptop online with a one year RTB warranty. This UK warranty is currently active. We were asked to send this laptop in for investigation (and repair). The investigation was undertaken by the warranty technicians starting on 17 September 2020. The laptop was returned on 23 September 2020 without any repair having been undertaken. Our 17 R5 laptop continues to be dark.
SupportAssist troubleshooting continues to say there is no hardware fault.
We postulate that the AWCC code has a FX device detection fault. Many other users also report that their AWCC gives the Warning "No supported AlienFX devices were detected".
Please ask Dell Technical Support to provide a stand-alone install Alien FX application update. Hopefully, all the Alien FX 2.0 software will then be installed and all the LED lights will then start to function.
Thank you.

Hi @DELL-Federico have only recently installed the current AWCC. If you are asking if attempts to install earlier versions of AWCC have been attempted to fix this problem, then yes. The AWCC FX tab has never been available. The 17 R5 arrived dark and has remained dark, even after having been returned from the recent Warranty investigation. AWCC does not install the AlienFX tester. There is no install AlienFX update application. Evidently, Dell have no plans to fix this well known problem for their customers/users.

crimsom,
I'm deeply sorry to hear about this whole inconvenience, based on your description it can be a communication problem from the APP or even a hardware problem (communication between the Motherboard, Tron Lights and the APP) I would suggest to reach out your local support team by phone, otherwise, feel free to drop us a private message with the service TAG and we would be more than happy to take a look on this.
Kind regards,
