m17 R2, noise, slump under Tobii eye tracker
Hi, I just bought a new Alienware m17 r2 laptop. Im currently very dissapointed on this machine, it is a $2730 laptop and it came with a slump under the Tobii eye tracker. It also makes a electrical noise, (whine coil) it is permanent, since I start the machine. Besides this 2 problems Im dissapointed that there is no way that I can upgrade the RAM (this last one is my error) I thought I could upgrade the RAM but it is not possible in this model...

The buzz isn’t much of a concern anymore for me and the little slump under the eye tracker seems intentional. I noticed the issue with the power button as well. I used to have a MacBook Pro and you just press it like any other button but this Alienware power button usually takes a full press on it. Honestly at first I was really concerned because I saw this things that I did not see on the Mac (physical) but after knowing more and using more the laptop works great, the screen and the performance is just great. Only thing I’m disappointed is that you cannot upgrade the RAM, besides that the machine is very powerful and runs great on design and architecture programs.
