m17 R3, trying to connect Xbox One X through HDMI

@Mary G  You're assuming that the OP is trying to view the Xbox on their PC.  They might want to run their Alienware signal through their Xbox since the Xbox actually has an HDMI input to support that.

So @mattkepp29, what exactly are you trying to achieve?  If you're trying to see your Xbox on your PC display, that isn't going to work because your Alienware system doesn't have an HDMI input, only an HDMI output.  Very few PCs have display inputs to facilitate that type of setup.  If on the other hand you're trying to run your Alienware through your Xbox so that it can display on your TV, then that should be working if you've got the Alienware connected to the HDMI input on the Xbox rather than the output.
