m17 R5, screen freezing

Question

I seem to be having an issue with my laptop and it's costing me heavy while playing my video games. The problem seems to be that my entire screen just freezes and I have no way of doing anything about it in order to restore it back to working conditions. All I see is what's on the screen and I can hear the audio sometimes in the background but there's no way of fixing or ctr , alt , delete in order to fix the freeze. I don't think it's crashing I just think something is happening while I play ( League of Legends) in the background and this is frustrating me a lot. I only have this laptop for max 2 months now and I really think I need someone to help me out.

I realized that my graphics card was set to the default and changed it to the nvdia graphics card so i will check if this problem persists after changing it. Thank you. Everything else i dont really understand what to do.

Run diagnostics, F12 at boot, and watch for any hardware errors. If everything checks out fine run an antivirus check. Are you seeing the problem when not playing games? I would also suggest calling Dell tech support since the system is less than 1 year old and should be under warranty.

Tried the diagnostics and it passed , the thing is that the game would work until a certain point in the game and it just crashes .. usually in team fights or something thats really active happening. I will contact the dell support

No it still happening to me and i think it's only with league of legends so far , there was one time where my Fortnite just closed and computer restarted for no reason also but it happens still and no solution yet.

If i disable my amd graphics card will the nvdia only work? It happened again after changing it but im not sure if i changed it properly so i'm wondering if its because of over heating though because i game long and it's only a laptop
