m18 R2, keyboard malfunction
Alienware m18 R2
I'm experiencing an issue with my laptop's keyboard where certain keys, specifically Q, W, E, R, sometimes do not register when pressed. This happens randomly, and I have to press them multiple times to get a response.
Additionally, when playing other games, I noticed that the W key sometimes gets "stuck" For example, after holding it for a long time to move my character forward, the key continues to register as pressed, even when I release it. This issue does not happen all the time but occurs frequently enough to be frustrating.

That man. How long have you had it ? sounds like keyboard failure. Maybe a temp solution plug in a external one in the mean time until you figure out what you going to do ?

The same problem with the keyboard after heating the w key sticks after heating. I tried reassigning the w key to e and it also started sticking when holding it down for a long time when the laptop is hot. Even sometimes you can hear a click as the button falls off

I have exact the same issue. Keyboard was already changed. Around 5 months it was ok … now same issue again.
iam in connection with the dell support, and they are rlly engaged but till now… no change.
its just the W key. All other keys are ok. Iam very frustrated and at this point… sadly… and when this dont end lucky for me as consumer… this was the last dell Laptop bought.

From what the below video suggests, it might be a "choke" piece that's on the motherboard that connects to the keyboard? He said that the keyboard works like a USB keyboard for the RGB to work, and that's why it's prone to failing, because it's under-rated?

Not sure why the problem is limited to a few keys sometimes. If its the same issue exactly or not. I'd guess they are though, as on a spectrum of annoyance.
