M18x R2, need a modified Nvidia driver to install Windows
@mattyb3 An old thread, but hopefully you still around. have the Velociraptor in my M18XR2 with a Kingston 2tb Nvme drive. Do I need a modified Nvidia driver to install Windows? The drive is recognized in the BIOS, but won't install Windows. I keep getting the error "Windows cannot be installed to this drive, ensure that disk controller is enabled in BIOS". The machine has A11 Klipsch modified BIOS, primary display set to SG and SATA operation set to AHCI.

Hello, I honestly can't remember how I set up the system to be able to boot from the NVMe drive and I sold that R2 a little while ago. Head over to the Notebooktalk.net and ask SSJ in the Alienware section. He is all over it and will be able to help you out.
The Nvidia driver has nothing to do with it so it won't be that. It will be a BIOs setting, maybe you need to be in RAID, can't quite remember.
