My Windows use NVidia GPU all the time!

Hello experts,

I have brand new laptop Alienware m15 R4 RTX3070 i7-10th, FHD (1920 x 1080) 300Hz 3ms 300-nits 100% sRGB (dark color), Windows 10 Pro (20H2).

I found that my Windows use GPU NVidia all the time and never use Intel UHD GPU. Also, my device manager shows only NVidia GPU under "Display Adapter". In NVidia Control Panel, I dont have menu "Setup G-Sync". Under BIOS, my Intel UHD can be detected.

Please see the attachment:

Maybe because of this, I only have battery life around 2.5 hours for browsing only.

My questions are:

+ Is it normal to see NVidia GPU working all the time?

+ How can I tell my Windows to use Intel UHD also to preserve battery life?

+ Is it okay if I force to disable NVidia GPU in Device Manager to make my Windows use Intel UHD?

I have installed the GPUs with the newest drivers.

Thanks~

So, you mean that there's no way Windows will use Intel UHD in my laptop?

Correct.  Return the system and order one with a standard refresh panel, which will allow Optimus to function.

The higher-end high-refresh models are hardwired to the nVidia GPU.

Thank you @Laridae Cass @ejn63 for your explanations. I think I will return this product and choose right specs for me. I received this product 5 days ago.
