Scrolling Icon Stays on The Desk Top Randomly
Another W10 driver problem with the Synaptics touch pad, as the title says and see screen shot.
"Stopping the service "Synaptic Touchpad 64Bit Enhancer" takes away the icon or icons _ many appear sometimes.
Contacting Microsoft's help report is quite useless, may as well report to a turtle.
It doesn't matter what driver I install, the latest one for my Alienware 18 is from 2015 _ Microsoft finds another driver which does the same thing.
I even found some newer drivers from other Dell laptops and they don't work either.
I did a search here and surprisingly, no one else seems to be having this problem.

Either there was nothing that could be done, or they are aware of the problem and there is a fix in the works. There was also a group over there that didn't work for HP that kept up on things and eventually one would get help from them. I was one of those people with around 3000 post under my belt. I guess others here are just using an external mouse to get around the problem. There are no generic drivers from Synaptics, just instructions to go to your manufacturers web site, and all there is a very old driver from 2015. This machine was nearly $3000. Does Dell expect me to blow another $3000 just because they can't be bothered to update their drivers. That's not going to happen! I would fix it myself, but I don't know how to re-write someone else's software to make it work properly.

I have the same problem, looks like when I scroll with the 2 fingers and the machine stop for any reason and freeze for one second, the icon stays on the display until I restart the computer
