G7 7700, Thermal Throttling (Viable Fix, Too Simple)

After years of experience the mysterious Fans running at 100 % ALL the TIME... I think I discovered, (quite by accident) an amazingly simple fix to my problem.

My System: 
- Dell G7 7700 gaming laptop (all updated display adapters and drivers)
- Two dell display monitors (extended) (Powerd from wall, HDMI bus powered through Laptop
- A 'J5 Create' docking hub (two HDM ports, Two USB and one other aux.)

2) The hub plugs into the back of my laptop to draw 'its' power., The monitors connect into the hub to draw the HDMI signals.  However, using two extended monitor devices, may have exceeded the laptop's power threshold.  And so... I disconnected the monitors /hub. 

Low and behold, my laptop has been on 72 hours, gaming away... (or for work) and nary a fan overdrive noise to be heard.  The system operates smoothly, is cool @ 75% degrees no crashes, no freezes.

I suspect that by using 'that' hub, with two monitors, a power constraint may have arisen and if so, may have caused my system to overheat.   This, coupled with other typical power demands, such as graphics rendering in the game(s) compounded the issue. 

I can't say its conclusive; (but it sure looks like it).  At the very least, it begs the question for the Dell Engineers, who may want to evaluate their products to see if power load differentials are behind the common thermal throttling issue.
