Very disappointed with Alienware Premium Support/Dell Premium Support
I am totally disappointed with the Dell Premium Support service from top to bottom!! Support , Escalations Team , Technical Design Team. None of their team seem to value customers Time and effort . No one from their team is approaching the problem systematically - only adhoc changes are suggested - re-install this , re-install that , wipe out this , and wipe out that. Even after repeatedly pointing out that systematic approach is required to Diagnose the issue. I am totally frustrated. The support is pathetic. The product is piece of junk. I was mac user earlier and never had to deal with any crashes, and even when there was a problem the support was very knowledgeable. Here at Alienware, even the escalations team does not seem to value clients time and urgency.
Analogy : imagine someone is sick and goes to the doctor - the doctor just randomly prescribes medicines and tells the patient , try this and that . remove this heart and liver and let us see, let us observe some time, without systematically approaching the problem. This seems to be the case at Alienware.
VERDICT : <Soliciting other users is not allowed on this Dell funded Forum. Dell-Admin> When you encounter any problem troubleshooting is extremely difficult and the support is not knowledgeable to debug the problem in systematic way. The price does not justify the Quality.
Background:
I had Purchased Alienware 17 R4 Alienware for my work. As Alienware was a premium product I was hopeful that it will be reliable. However, soon after I bought the Laptop , I started getting BSOD errors , first they were in-frequent but later got frequent. Every time I contacted Support - they seemed to have only pre-canned solutions. Update Drivers , if not re-install OS , Wipe-out the data from all the drives. After enduring this frustration for 1 year at last they said that the error could be related to SSD and replaced it. The BSOD Problem again started occurring infrequently and after 6 months very frequently. I am again advised for wiping out my data and reinstalling everything , randomly try this and that. I tried that too. But the problem still occurs. Even when I escalated the problem the escalations team called me during last few minutes of business hours on weekday and then said will connect back on Monday.
That too when I was repeatedly screaming on top of my voice that my work is stuck and is very critical.

It's been 3 years since I got my 17 R4 for gaming. It either keeps crashing or the system freezes while playing games. I had reached up to support multiple times but I had a similar experience as @alien_amar, now my Alienware is just a piece of junk.

Hi @alien_amar totally agree. My expensive fully featured Alienware 17 R5 laptop is so bad that it is rarely used. Despite ongoing Service Request, my five year Dell warranty has not been activated in my Dell account. My ASUS laptop performance and reliability is excellent.
