What is the difference between the cap-lifting type and vert

A few months ago, I accompanied my boss to attend an FPC connector sales exhibition and saw many different FPC connectors. Other than the model and material, is there any difference in application between a cap-lifting type and vertical type of FPC connector? Please explain.
