Why lie?

I turned in my laptop into hardware repair. I signed up for direct phone number contact so I can track the process my laptop is going through ( I double checked, it's the right phone number). I have not only NOT been getting messages but also have been emailed (thank goodness they decided to contact me) about how the repair man found the issue, but wants to wait 2 business 2 days to dicuss my expired warranty? I already clarified on the device and shipping description that it was no longer under warranty. Also in the same email, it says "if you have questions or need help call this number "1-800-288-4410" between 7am and 12 am CST. Well I had questions about why we should wait to fix my computer. Obviously I called the number. Nope, it's closed. Great? maybe it was a accident? or they were short staffed? No, the email lied. They are not open between 7am and 12am, they are open between 830am and 830pm. Why lie? Did they forget to update the email? No, i called regular support and theu acknowledged the the email was wrong and that they lied. So now I have to wait to contact the repair guy, and have to wait longer for my computer to be fixed. What the?!
