x15 R1, SSD installation
Alienware x15 R1
For my Alienware x15 R1, I want to upgrade the storage of my laptop would it be better to get a:
SAMSUNG 990 EVO SSD 1TB, PCIe Gen 4x4, Gen 5x2 M.2 2280 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive
Or
Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 5000MB/s

The x15 R1 can support NVMe SSD with max performance PCIe Gen 3. Your upgrade plan may take that performance limitation to consideration. What is considered better for others may not be the same as better for you. My suggestion is to pick the option that can provide better warranty, pricing, and support availability.
