x15 R2, mute key does not work
Hello,
For several weeks now, my mute key on the keyboard does not work anymore.
- It does not change to white if pressed
- Microphone is not muted if mute button is pressed
Does anybody have an idea, how to solve this?

Hi @crimsom,
thanks for the tip. I already found the problem. The Windows service "Realtek Audio Universal Service" was not configured to start automatically.
Now it works again.

Please try toggling Multimedia Keys to Function Keys.

old post, i've the same problem with x16r2 rtx4080, solved with this way;
-reinstall/repair alienware command center
-reinstall realtek audio driver
-reboot several times
-works.
i think AWCC is the matter, i don't know why but anyway finally works, but allow to give 1-5min after the win boot then the key is working, maybe the feature is under the windows services, the oem softwares are always flimsy, need to wait after the booting.
