Active directory restore
We have Active directory running on HP class h/w. We want to restore the same to a VM.
help us know if we are missing any
1) perform a system state backup of AD
2) provision VM with same OS
3) install and register avamar backup plugin
4) boot the vm in dsrm + networking mode, make sure avtar process is running
5) perform a redirected restore of system state and vss of AD onto VM
6) reboot the VM and validate
No Events found!

I was going through these steps few days back, in a scenario to recover an AD DC... precisely these are the steps. Good to recollect them...
