We recently updated our Avamar from v7.5 to v19.1. When I try to use the Avamar Administrator client, it shows the old version. I'm able to log on and it tells me:
Your Avamar Administrator is incompatible with the server
I click Download and Install and it tries to take me to the web gui/dtlt page to download the new version. I get this error: 500 server internal error.
I can get to the /avi page, and when I run dpnctl status I get this:
gsan status: up MCS status: up emt status: up backup scheduler status: up maintenance windows scheduler status: enabled unattended startup status: disabled avinstaller status: up connectemc status: down ddrmaint-service status: up
I've got a ticket in with support, just wanting to see if anyone else had encountered this, or a similar issue.
There is likely a problem with Apache Tomcat on this system. Support would best be able to help you with this, so I'm glad to see you have a ticket open.
The HTML5 UI may still work since it doesn't rely on Tomcat. You can try logging in by browsing to /aui on the Avamar server.
Just a follow-up to the issue I was having: Aside from using /aui to be able to administer the device, I was able to use WinSCP to download the avamar administrator client .exe file from the Avamar to my system, then, once I installed it, am now able to use both the updated version of the Avamar Administrator Client and the Administrator Web gui.
