While it's possible to enable MTree replication for an Avamar MTree, Avamar would not be aware of this replication. Also, unless you are performing checkpoint backups to the DD, not all the required data would be protected by MTree replication. The data on the DD would not be recoverable without the corresponding metadata from Avamar.
Using MTree replication like this is not an officially supported configuration. Avamar / DD integrated replication requires an Avamar on both sides.
Good day. Is there a way to replicate data from an old DD to a new DD? We currently have an old DD2200 and new DD2500, however we only have one Avamar Server. Could you suggest any form of replication, please? We are thinking of going with Collection Replication, but we couldn't find any info if migrated data will be identified by Avamar. Thank you.
