The redirect that points the browser to the actual Enterprise Manager page is only configured for http. Please use http://xxxx/em instead of https://xxxx/em and it should work. The same problem happens if there is a trailing slash after em (i.e. http://xxxx/em/ will also fail) so watch for that as well.
I filed a request for enhancement several weeks ago to ask that the redirect correctly handle https and trailing slashes in a future version of the product.
