Avamar proxy - changing IP

Question

Hi all,

Is there a way to change network settings for Avamar proxy server? I tried yast2 and direct configuration network files, but seems it's not working. After restarting avamar proxy the original IPs (configured during deployment proxy) reverts back and applied.

If its an Avamar 6.1 proxy you need to change the IP in the virtual machine options -> vapp properties.

Otherwise when the proxy restarts it picks up the IP from these settings. I learnt this the hard way when trying to change IP by editing the config file and even using the blue start up menu.

Hi, solution is found. Network settings are changed in blue start-up console after pressing '2 - quit'.
