Platform support MOSS plug-in is supported on 32 bit and 64 bit windows platforms windows server 2003 windows server 2008 cluster support
You can ask the client update package to EMC. to have this feature.
I too would like a clear answer to the question. Does Avamar 7.0 support SharePoint 2010 SP2?
The reason I ask is that we cannot get Avamar to work and when we run Avamar diagnostic it says the system has no supported version of sharepoint installed
