I had attached an image to my reply but it appears to have been stripped out. I've re-posted it below:

I don't believe this is possible in any current or upcoming releases of the product (though there's nothing in the architectureI can think of that would preclude such a feature from being developed in future).

You can submit a Request For Enhancement (RFE) for this functionality through PowerLink. In the blue bar underneath the search box, select Support => Request Support => Request a Product Enhancement.

Requests submitted through PowerLink are evaluated by the product managers and may be included in future releases.

Thanks for the response.......

I was under the impression that anything that can be done on the gui can be done on the command line!

I was wrong....

Thanks!

I wanted verification ..  That yes.... Backups should run..

Yes you can traceroute, ping & telnet to test....

But the ultimate test is the ability to browse the client..

Well unless you have a "Black Hole Router" issue...

Thanks...

If you wanted to run an equivalent test from the command line, you should be able to set up a dataset that would back up some small, well-known file (e.g. /etc/hosts) and use mccli to run a backup of the client using that dataset.
