"Move Failed. Client software could not be contacted." How to solve it?
Hi all,
trying to move a single client from Avamar-1 to Avamar-2 (both are v.6.0) from the web Enterprise Manager we have this error:
"Move Failed. Client software could not be contacted."
does anyone knows how to solve it.
Note: The client is not paged and we can move it from one domain to another inside the source server using Admin console.

OSCAR-VRTC,
Please consider moving this question as-is (no need to recreate) to the proper forum for maximum visibility. Questions written to the users' own "Discussions" space don't get the same amount of attention and questions can go unanswered for a long time.
You can do so by selecting "Move" under ACTIONS along the upper-right. Then search for and select "Avamar Support Forum" which would be the most relevant for this question.

Hi Oscar,
Please try to check the issue as following:
- Whether the hostname of the client exist on the network.
- Whether both of Avamar servers can communicate with the client.
- Whether Avamar client software is installed on the client normally.
