Report as a custom event profile attachment
The admin manual says that you can send a report as a custom event profile attachment, but doesn't explain how. Anyone know how to do this?

You will get the exact procedure in admin guide of Avamar under creating a new custom event profile section in server monitoring section.
I can guide you through some steps,
Start Avamar Administrator. Choose Tools and then go to manage profiles, select the domain to which this profile needs to be added, click new.Enable the profile, enable email notification and then set either email events as they occur or as per schedule and then follow on with the rest of steps.

Yes, I understand and did all that. It does not answer my question. How do I include a Report in the email? For example, if you look at the High Priority Events profile, Email Notification, Reports in email: it includes the Server Status report, the Activities - Bytes Protected Client report, and others. I want to be able to do that.

It would helpful if you can describe exactly what you tried and what result you're seeing.

I see the problem now.
My console does not show the option to add Reports, as shown in the manual on page 268.
I have Client & Server v4.1.2.33

The only way I've been able to get a custom profile to send reports via email is on a scheduled basis. I have not been able to get the profile I created to send out anything as an event occurs.
Example that I've tried....I created a report that is looking for all clients in a specific domain with complete sucessful backups. When I run the report manually, I get all the results I expect. So, I then got to the custom profile that I've created and under the email notification tab, selected on the report I created and selecte the .csv format to send.
Then I changed on the properties tabs in the email notification area to the radial buttom for email events as they occur. Once, that is changed and saved, I never receive any email of this specific report.

EMC tech support eventually answered my original question.
I did not see the reports to attach because I was creating the profile in a domain, but there were no reports in that domain, so the section of the GUI that allows you to select the reports to attach was missing. A profile created in a domain can not attach reports in the root or other domains.

Yes...I found that out as well, so I just created the custom profile at root level in order to see the custom report I want to attach. I create the custom reports at the domain level though.
I've even gone a step farther with the custom profile and selected on the event codes tab and put a check mark in the boxes in all of the possible error codes for backups and still never get an email as they occur.
