SMTP E-Mail Question

Does anyone know if it is possible to use Comcast as the SMTP server for Avamar? Our company has their e-mail hosted off-site but we have Comcast for our internet. I tried configuring this and sent a test e-mail but got nothing.

Any suggestions?

Any SMTP server should work; Avamar will use basic SMTP functionality. Are you sure relaying was allowed? Did you try to send email manually from avamar box?

As long as smtp relay is enabled it should work.
