Unable to configure Proxy Server
Hello
I need help on this. I am unable to configure Avamar Proxy server from DataCenter 2 to Data Center 1. I am able to ping All node IPs from Proxy server of Data Center 2 to Avamar at Data Center1 but not able to ping utility node IP and also I am not able to register Proxy Server.

Are you referring to a VMware Image Proxy?
Avamar clients such as VMware Image Proxies must be able to reach the Avamar utility node (or single node server) on port 28001 in order to register. If you can't ping the utility node, there may be a firewall preventing the agent from connecting to the Avamar Administrator Server running on port 28001.

I agree with Ian's answer..yes if you are trying to register proxy vm to avamar server..it's treated like normal client
So from proxy Port 28001 should be opened to utility node and proxy should be able to comm. to vcenter via 443 and to esx on 902 port resp.
