1. The Client Manager method of upgrading clients is only supported when the client version is 6.0 or higher. So you will manually have to upgrade the 5.x clients to 6.x first.
Log onto your Client server
Use the Client's browser to connect to the Avamar server: http://
Go to the Documentation and downloads pages
Click on your client type and download the Client Install kit.
Install the Client software on your Client server.
2. Windows 2000 Server Support Ended with version 6.0 of Avamar. They will not work with 7.0. The highest version of Avamar that will work with the old Windows 2000 Client software is 6.1.x, and you must have an RPQ (Request for Product Qualification) filed through your account team.
