Very Important!

Do not attempt to perform an upgrade to version 6. There are many issues and you will run into problems.

Avamar GSPS and product managemnt have declared that All Avamar upgrades regardless of version, must be performed by Certified Avamar Upgrade Engineers.

Hello Sandeep.

The Avamar Upgrade guide should never be diseminated to customers or partners. Anyone attemting an upgrade using this guide will run into problems that could cause DU or DL on an avamar server.

Hello!

I am sorry, but the process for upgrading from Avamar 5.x to 6.x is not a customer managed process. The upgrade is performed by EMC specialists trained for the process of upgrading the software.

Please contact you SAM, ASR or sales rep or call support and request an upgrade of your Avamar grid. You can also contact jeffrey.cameron@emc.com and he can assist you as well. He is the technical Manager for Avamar Upgrades.
