VMWare image level backup redirected restore with linked mode

We have a DR site with a 2nd Avamar appliance that we replicate to.  In our primary site we are doing VMWare image level backups on VSphere 4.1 servers.  I want to be able to recover the VM's in our DR site in the primary site ever goes down.

Since the VCenter server is in our primary site I am going to have to build a 2nd VCenter server in the DR site and configured both VCenter's in linked mode.

Does Avamar support performing a restore of a VM that is home to the primary VCenter and will be restored to the DR VCenter, both running in linked mode?  Obviously assuming the primary VCenter server will be down.
