Wiping a Avamar DR node but not the active node
We are looking to shutdown a DR site and have broke the replication link between the Avamar's. My question is how would I go about wiping the data off the DR site without impacting or expiring the backups on the active site, not that that is possible with the replication link down anyway.

Depends on what you mean by "wipe".
Are the nodes being traded-in / returned to EMC, or will the grid be repurposed? Are you required to perform a multipass randomized erasure?
EMC has some procedures for how to clean a system that will later be repurposed, but you're kinda on your own if you don't want to purchase their "DOD level erasure" service.

Yes most of our hardware has to be DOD wiped prior to leaving the facility. None of it will be repurposed afterwards so worse case they will be destroyed if there is no way to do a deletion of the data.
