you could turn on verbose logging on the data mover, this will tell you the path of the file that is being scanned, communication to the VC Scan engine ( success or failure )

server_param server_x -f viruschk -m Traces -v 0 ( then do a server_log server_x ) to see

Is the Total Request shown there not enough info...? or are you looking for something more granular....?

Are you not seeing the AV counts increase on the GUI of the Symantec Scan Engine..?

Do you mean the total number of files that have been processed by AV? That's the number at the top - Total Requests. If you're talking about the number of infected, deleted and renamed files, you won't see those statistics until the CAVA servers actually find infected files and clear them out. When I reboot my NS80, I won't see those status for weeks, until the first virus is found. Hope this helps!

When you run server_viruschk server_2 does it show your SAVSE servers online?

Also what specific version of CAVA/CEE and SAVSE are you using. We had some major issues with the releases before CAVA 4.2.1 and SAVSE 5.2.2.26.
