Celerra connection to Clariion

Question

Our NS80G is connected to a CX3-80. Unfortunately our CX3-80 still has the default username and password set on it and the NS80G has been configured to use these credentials when interacting with the array. Our security people are not happy with the default username and password on the CX3-80 and have asked me to change it to something better. I did this and then updated the password on the Celerra. The problem is that I can see two connections from the Celerra every 5 minutes in the Clariion logs. One calls the command setstats and succeeds. The other runs the command arrayname -np -GMTOFF 0 and fails. This is obviously still using the old password but I can't find anywhere to update it. Has anyone come across this before? I suggest to open a case with EMC customer service and let them fix it.With recent NAS & Flare codes they should even be able to switch it to navisecCLI and make your security guys even happier

We're having the exact same problem with an NS42G connected to a CX3-080.

Did you open a case on this and get a resolution? I have one open now but we're stuck trying to get the "arrayname" command to run under nasadmin rather than admin. I also haven't been able to find out exactly what the arrayname arguments do here since they don't seem to be documented.

We are already using naviseccli but it doesn't seem like that would have an effect here.

I did get a solution. The command: nas_storage -modify -security -username -password Worked I think. I also had to reboot the datamover to get this to take effect Sheppie
